Stella Maris Dissection Group 2

​Stella Maris Environmental Research offers a series of Homeschool Dissection Labs in partnership with Bailiwicks. They are designed to provide hands-on anatomical studies for students. These monthly sessions allow participants to explore various specimens, enhancing their understanding of biological structures and functions.

Each lab is offered during the school year in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, with two time slots available: 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM. Students are grouped by age and ability, ensuring appropriate instruction and engagement. While there is no minimum age requirement, participants must be mature enough to handle sharp instruments and maintain focus throughout the session. Older students may receive more in-depth exploration.​

Pricing:

The base price is approximately $28 per lab, which includes materials and instruction. Some sessions may vary in cost depending on the specimens used. Registration is for the year-long course, with limited space available. Drop-in seats may be offered with an additional administration fee and are subject to availability. Scholarships can be discussed upon request.​

Parent Participation:

Parents of children under the age of 14 are required to stay on-site and assist their students during the lab. Parents who may feel uncomfortable with dissections are encouraged to notify the organizers to make alternative arrangements. All children present must be enrolled in the labs; however, infants in arms are always welcome.​
