Supplies Needed: Laptop or iPad, Notebook, and Pen.
If you want to participate in our in-water activities you will need a mask, snorkel and fins.
Step into the amazing world of our oceans, as you progress through the same classroom lessons taken by Open Water SCUBA learners. Learn about the underwater environment, physics and physiology principles, function and assembly of SCUBA equipment, and underwater communication. Learn marine topics with lessons developed by Oceanographers, and Marine Conservationists about Marine Ecosystems, Biodiversity of Marine Life, the human impact on the oceans, and ongoing management and conservation efforts.
Participate in a field trip to observe and photograph marine life with casings designed and created in class. Then, create a presentation where you share your experience with others and where you can explain the names of observed marine life using either still photos or video. We could also turn our pictures into works of marine art!
This class and associated projects are perfect for those who love the ocean and want to explore careers in Marine Science and conservation.
