Ever dreamed of taking to the skies? Skybound: Intro to Aviation is the ultimate hands-on introduction to the world of flight! This course is designed for high school students who are curious about aviation, particularly what it takes to become a pilot.
Through engaging lessons and interactive activities, students will explore the principles of flight, aerodynamics, aviation weather, flight planning, and private pilot training essentials. They’ll learn how pilots use checklists, navigate airspace, and make critical decisions in real-world scenarios. The class will also dive into various careers in aviation—from commercial pilots to air traffic controllers—giving students a broader understanding of the industry.
The best part? The course culminates in an actual discovery flight, where students will get the chance to experience flying firsthand! Each student will also receive a private pilot ground school curriculum, providing them with a strong foundation for future flight training.
