In this dynamic, hands-on course, students will dive into the world of journalism by creating magazines and a podcast over the course of the school year. Students will rotate through key newsroom roles including reporters, editors, photographers, illustrators, and creative writers. They’ll develop real-world journalistic skills, working as part of a team to craft engaging stories, compelling visuals, and timely content. Through deadlines, peer feedback, and editorial processes, students will learn the importance of accuracy, ethical reporting, and the power of storytelling. In the second half of the year, students will transition to podcasting, producing their own episodes on current events and creative topics. This course will challenge students to think critically, collaborate, and bring their creative voices to life through impactful media.
